Feel Better card

Here's a get well card using a Dustin Pike image. Colored with Copics. Added some red stickles to the end of the thermometer. More scrap paper used.

I made this card for my Dad. The image is from http://dustinpike.blogspot.com/ (his 2/25/10 post) This lion is perfect for early March cards, what with the weather and all. I also like that he is flying a kite, I have fond memories of doing that with my Dad when I was younger - so hopefully my Dad will remember those days too. I am sending the card with a calendar I made my Dad. Every year for Christmas I scrap a calendar for Grandpa with pictures of all his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids - I include everyone's birthday and phone number to make it easy for him to call someone - if he wants. Well, my brother mentioned wanting one so he got a modified one for Christmas (it had fewer pictures of extended family, more of him with the kids & dogs). Then my Dad mentioned wanting one, which blew me away, because I never pictured my Dad as "into" or appreciative of crafts, but I just finished his calendar and I plan to send it out tomorrow or Saturday. It is a little late, but I hope he appreciates it.
Colored with Copics, more scrap paper, a MS punch, and 3 pieces of left over ribbon. I am working on using paper scraps, because I have a ton - and if I use it all I can justify more paper :)

St Pat's Card

Perfect for St. Patrick's cards. So here is the first of several St Pat's cards I will make. I was gifted some Copic markers from my husband - as an anniversary present. So the image is colored with both Copics and Prismacolor markers. The gold accents were colored with a gold gel pen and some ultra find MS glitter is added for emphasis. The image was cut and matted on circle scallop nesties. The background is stamped with Versmark ink. To "tie" the look together (haha) a green stain ribbon, and a shamrock punch in the vellum. May the luck of the Irish be with you.

Owl card for Delia

This cute owl image was offered by Dustin Pike over at http://dustinpike.blogspot.com/. Dustin offered 3 different owls to make a card for a 10 year old girl named Delia Cadwallader who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, she is on her second round of chemo at Denver Children's Hospital. I colored the "painter" owl image with colored pencils, and added some stickles for emphasis. The patterned paper is DCWV All About Boys stack. Added some sheer navy ribbon and scrap cs and viola. Thanks for looking.

Paper is from Debbie Mumm, leaves are from a Fiskars squeeze punch and an EK Success punch, I ran the red paper through my Cuttlebug, and the squirrel is from a blog I visited (http://dustinpike.blogspot.com/). His site often offer free digis, and they are very cool. I tried to incorporate lots of fall colors and themes - and the nuts are very cute. I love his chubby cheeks!
