There's Magic in the Air

Nina came up with the cutest digi this week over at: You can just imagine him flying by on the ice. Kim's challenge this week was to use something reflective. So after looking at everyone's card - I loved Nina's with the foil, and planned to scrap lift it. Plus I happen to have foil, so my husband was happy I did not go buy something. I colored the penguin with Prismacolors. I used flower soft on the brim and ball of the hat. The foil was cut out with a scalloped oval Nestie, and embossed with a Cuttlebug Divine Swirls Embossing Folder. This card is extra special because Maddox helped make it. He woke up at 5 AM this morning (does not bode well for our full day, but...) he wanted to craft and he sponged ink all over the background and he did a wonderful job of setting the scene for a cold, blustery, wintery ice skating experience.

  1. Oh my gosh, I love what you did with your foil!!! Don't ever run out and buy something - there is always potential in your kitchen or your hubbies workbench if you don't have it in your own stash! Great card, love it!!!

  2. Great effect with the embossed foil, good for you using stash from the house!! Always make hubby happy, LOL! Lovely card! Thanks for skating with us at tMITA this week! Hugs Nilla

  3. This is so cute - the embossed foil is gorgeous! And I love that your son helped you with this card - definitely makes it extra special! Thanks for joining us at TMITA this week!
    Hugs, Danielle

  4. The swirls embossed on the foil is gorgeous. I love your card. Thanks for playing with us at TMITA this week.

  5. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the embossed foil!! I totally hoped people would use what they had for this one and you rocked it! Great job too to Maddox in sponging the background! Can't wait to see what you (both) do with next week's image ;)
